Which is the better camera, the Canon Rebel XS, Canon EOS 20D or the?
I have the opportunity to buy either one of these around the same price, although the EOS 20D with two lenses included cleaning kit, filters, The Rebel with the kit lens strap comes etc., and all that usually included in the kit. So I'm interesting to see which camera is actually better.
I have not used the 20D but I use it daily for my business 10D predecessor. He has a absolute tank. Tank = good. I can tell you that all the "rebels" model is a model of consumers. Each "D" model is more professional use be targeted. What does this mean? It means when you get a 10D, 20D, 30D, etc., and then you get a Rebel, you will immediately see that the Rebel is more "plasticky" compared to the D-series cameras. The D-Series cameras are water resistant and built to withstand the elements and use harder to do much more than the rebels. Are the Rebels good cameras? Sure they are. If the D-series cameras, and take longer hold value better. If they do not only because so many consumers do not know much about them and they are not as pronounced as the rebels among consumers. For durability with the D-series camera bodies go. The Rebel XS is a 10.1 MP compared to the 8.2-20D, so maybe to make one bit of difference to you if you only have those extra 2 MP. But compare the prices with the XS or xsi 30D. The 6.2 MP 10D shoot I can be bought for $ 200 all day with now. When released, it was about $ 2,000, a digital eventually crashes.
