What software do I use to put pictures on my PC from my Canon EOS 300D?
I bought a Canon EOS 300D second hand and it didn't come with any disc or software.
I plugged it in to my Windows 7 laptop and it came up that it couldn't install correctly because there was something about the driver.
Where can I get the software so I can put pics on my laptop? Or is there something I can do?
The PC isn't recognising the camera in My Computer neither.
Its saying "Driver not found".
Whats the name of the driver I should be downloading?
What am I looking for on the Canon website?
300D for some reason refuses to plug-and-play...on any computer, doesn't matter if it's a mac or a PC, it just doesn't like it. Yet there seems to be no drivers available for 300D on anything later than Windows XP.
Your only solution is to get a USB CF card reader. This will be able to copy images from card without the camera. And should be considerably faster than the camera too, since the camera is USB 1.1 which is snail pace.
