Affordable fisheye lens for Canon Digital Rebel EOS 300D?
I am fairly new to photography and I fell in love with the fisheye effect. I recently bought the Diana Lens+ fisheye lens adaptor, expecting to get the lomo effect on my SLR. However, I didn't get the full fisheye effect because of the focal length of my Rebel. I want to purchase a fisheye lens that has the black circle and is under $200. Thank you so much!
You are not going to get a real fisheye for the Rebel. Because of the smaller sensor, the 8mm fisheye lenses you will get end up being a semi, with black arcs at the left and right edges of the frame. You can go wider, Sigma makes a 4.5mm lens, but it is around $1,000.
I have the Peleng 8mm for my Canon and I like it a lot. It is fully manual and built like a tank. I bought mine off of eBay but it looks like there is a manufacturer's web site up now where you can buy direct. It is more than your target though.

I can not speak to the quality of the lens, but Adorama has a Bower for about the same price and a Pro-Optic for less. Both are only for the crop cameras, so they should be a bit smaller. They are both manual focus, but it looks like the camera can control the aperture, which you have to do manually on the Peleng. I don't find it a bother, but if I were starting over, I would try and research these two and maybe get one instead.
