Canon Eos 450d Rebel Xsi Digital Camera

Canon 450D Canon 500D VS What ??!!?

Okay, so I am in the market for a DSLR and I compared the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSI, the Canon EOS 50D and 50D is not much better, and I mean little! ok it shoots HD video so what! Both cameras have the same sensor! The 50D is not much better in low light, but the XSI is faster shutter speed. Anyway, the best in XSI $ 650 with a kit lens and the 50D is favorable at $ 1,200 with a kit lens and I think, why on earth would I almost twice as much for a 50D? It makes no sense! Can someone help me with this? I would be photographers or people with experience with both cameras prefer answer please Thank you.
