Hey, unfortunately the first 3 answerer's are a kind of wrong. Just because they think Canon is better, this does not mean it is for all. The same applies to Nikon. Oh, and it has better picture quality and is used by professionals .. this is stupid;) I have the EOS 50D and I shoot a lot of things with him (for newspapers, too). I chose them because they are faster (6.5 vs 4.5fps), better ergonomics (for me) and I am the Canon. The 3 megapixel difference is not important. If you want video, use The D90. It has a lot of jelly action and shooting in HD. If you are the best and cheap DSLR now with the best video, get the T2i.
