What equipment do you recommend for a Startup / personal photographer?
I want to set up a small studio, probably from my garage and house. I just want the studio mainly to take pictures of my family would welcome outside jobs but as soon as I build up a portfolio and my skills to sharpen. However, I think do not even know where to begin far as equipment goes. My garage is oriented to the north, would not that much direct sunlight in. What equipment would you recommend to come (ie fall back, stand for sets, props, lighting, external flash, etc.). I currently have a old Canon AE-1 Program with a 28mm, 50mm and 120mm lens and a new DSLR Canon EOS 50D with a 28-135mm lens. Any advice or suggestions are welcome. I'm definitely the Passion. Could you provide a link for the NYNschoolofphotography? I can not seem to get a good link to find on Google.
I suggest you keep up with black and white scenes .. (I use cloth or larger leaves or whatnot!) I would suggest that you use the right lighting and soft box (diffusers) get a few flashes (you never know) But what I said, it was not the question of the equipment is there in your heart .. bring the passion. NYNschoolofphotography has a large free e-book that explains easily set up on the studio stage. It must not cost an arm and a leg.
