I am developing a keen interest in photography and I were looking for a good camera to start. I read a lot of very good reviews for the new Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 8MP. Now that camera is $ 700-800 here in BC it's stupid to spend so much money, or should I just stick to my Nikon Coolpix 2200, which I do not believe all the great images. I will not go into photography at every professional level, but as I said I really want to have a great camera. Beads of wisdom are always welcome! Thank you!
I think that if you have a genuine interest in photography is the best place to start to not go out a buy a expensive camera, but to go out and buy a book on photography basics. Although you can have a nice camera if you do not have a basic understanding of how a camera works, basic composition, camera etc. .. Lingo then you will feel in the same place where you start with your Nikon Coolpix, and poor You feel like you were cheated out of $ 800. Another thing from your digital cameras are as many PCs in those days. Every few months a new model comes out makes the previous generation obsolete or devalued by much. But the fact is that these older digital SLR cameras arent really that old, devalued only once. The good thing about these so-in obsolescence made known, the fact is that it uses a lot of good cameras on the market. I would check KEH.com, for $ 800 you can use a professional digital camera obtained as a rebel xt, which, although I think it is a good camera is not as robust and durable as your professional digital cameras.
