Help with Canon EOS Rebel XT flash?
I have a Canon EOS Rebel XT and the built in pop up flash doesn't work. I turn it on and on any setting when I press the flash button it just makes this noise and doesn't pop up and the screen flashes "Error 05"
can someone please help me?
OK, it's simple but not cheap.
The flash release mechanism on your camera is broken. When you're on Auto, the flash wants to pop up when needed. The release will make a clicking noise a few times, gives up, and gives the error. It will need a repair that will be around $250. Personally, I'd rather buy the 430ex flash for around the same since it will be better than the built in flash.
