in view of this camera kit and will upgrade to adding another lens I can an expanded lenses. I am new to photography and that this is my first DSLR camera expecatlly. i dont have to spend so much I went for the Canon EOS Rebel XS. It comes with a 18-55mm lens and that is $ 500.00 at Best Buy. Also for an additional 100.0 I have a 75-300mm zoom lens can thus 600.00 Dollars for the body, the 18-55 lens and 75-300 lens and some accesaries would like a belt book etc so that a good deal? It is a good first EOS: DSLR lenses good? etc.. I bought the Rebel XS and days of dirt test this camera, I found it was a beautiful experience. Now I am a professional videographer mounted a television station in Trinidad & Tobago, for my goal this camera was the need for a quick sharp shooting camera, which would still be impressive capture in low light conditions and still impressive Portrait shots are for my site and used for large prints. I did not want to shell out about $ 1,000. USA for a camera body. What is Canon's true: the fully automatic mode is really accurate and are excellent shots always makes it so easy photography for beginners or intermediates. The Portrait mode is not blurred, the images are clean, beautifully tinted excellent in quality for large size prints. The P (program auto) I like a lot to first, because this mode, the exposure so beautiful I found it addictive. I shot a lot of pictures of cars on a highway at night, with bright, sharp, ambitious vibrant colors. Night pictures at ISO 800 was very very very little noise, and I mean, I was looking for images on 15 "monitors for any reason to complain, but was really impressed. The autofocus is really fast. Th XS comes with "only" a 7-point autofocus system as compared to the 9-point XSi, forgive me when I say, there can be no necessity be for another 2 points if the camera focuses as quickly and accurately. I did not get a soft image when shot with the autofocus mode. The colors are very bright, very very nice depth of field. Macro works well. Image Optimizer simply shocked the life out of me. I was in a shady area without flash and it really improved without blowing on the issue of the fact that the cam stuff is almost impossible to point and shoot. Stuff I object to the "Contributions": 1 - "The camera feels cheaply built ".... simply wrong, nothing is shabby, buttons are really easy to press, no cheap clicks to them: The lens has a safe feel to it, and that a proper snap when it is set. Battery compartment is certainly secure. Your fingers must expensive to open the door for entry, is no coincidence problem. Rubber door at the av-snap connections in a well. Rubber grip is tight enough, smooth enough not to irritate Your hands. 2 - "XS" overpriced "xsi compared to the XSi ..... shoots slower than the XS, XSI image quality is equal to the XS even though the xsi is 12 MP. The XSi can be the 3 "LCD and a few other upgrades, but these upgrades do not add up, if the picture is taken and the quality of the two cameras fit equally.
