Canon Eos Magazine I am a very good photographer and was just wondering how much does a professional photographer?
Is a career worth considering one, as do such, Weddings, company or newspaper / magazine shoots? I have a Canon digital camera with appropriate skills.
Wow ... no offense, but the guy says you should not blow your own horn seems to be doing a bit of tooting themselves. "Have you ever worked for a living? If not, have no knowledge at all." This statement is false in many ways ... and I even suspect the author is cooling down, he will realize it. I've been an armature photographer for years, over 20, shot several events such as weddings, concerts, etc. and never accepted a cent ... I am in no way a pro. It is a hobby, but in the 20 + years, I have to believe it or not, gained a considerable amount of skill and knowledge, yes. I have offerd pay more than I can remember, but it's fun for me, So I refused. Sooo .... Basically it's like most jobs. It takes time, hard work, talent and luck. There are thousands of great skill and talented photographer, fall flat on their nose and to be honest, there are hacks that often stumble into a very lucrative career. It really all depends on you. If you have any Galleries until I would be happy to give my humble opinion, your skills or lack there ... I will not unnecessarily to tare you down or you build ... but that is said in my opinion, only one of many you should be before you commit to a career. If you really want to make photography "good" Money in which you really need to find niche (which I have never in a position to do), or you need to find something that you excel at ... and again ... You need really be happy. It is a way to ask someone with a guitar, whether he or she should have a career in music. So many levels of achievement from the Rockstar music teacher ... and so many talented people that never make it and so many completely free of talent to do that. Did I help or make worse? hahah One last note ... no matter how you look at it ... a professional photographer will take off takes a lot of money. Even if your one-dimensional search to start at a few thousand.
